Welcome to Bellingham/Whatcom County Washington. Whatcom County is the Northwestern most county in
the continental United States. Bellingham is Ideally located just 80 Miles North of Seattle Washington,
and just 60 miles South of Vancouver B.C Canada (just far enough to avoid the traffic hassles of both cities)
Bellingham/Whatcom Co. is one of the most scenic areas in the nation (and many many tell me in the world),
with it's close proximity to the Mt Baker recreation area (Mt. Baker is the most photographed Mountain in the world),
and right at the gateway to the pristine San Juan island chain. You can quite literally ski in the morning,
golf in the afternoon and have a sunset boat cruise easily in the same day.
Bellingham has an ever diversifying economy anchored by small business, an ever expanding high
tech business environment as well as one of Bellingham’s largest employers, Washington states third
largest University Western Washington University, where students compete to be among to 12,000 student
population. WWU brings a great deal of activities and arts to the area which a city the size of Bellingham
(around 65,000) would normally not have.
Other then the spectacular scenery and proximity to Seattle & Vancouver the other major reason
Bellingham is intensely competitive for relocation is the very mild climate, featuring less then
10 days below freezing a year and even fewer days above 90 degrees each year.
The scenic beauty, the wonderful recreational activities, the mild climate, the distance from
the hustle and hassle of large city life make Bellingham and Whatcom County an exceptional
location for your family and business to call home.
